The purpose of the meeting was to create a welcoming and private place of safety and connection for women in our community as a means of reducing the social isolation that so many of us, especially older women living alone face with the ultimate aim of strengthening ourselves, our families and our communities by building self-confidence, foster respect for ourselves and others.

Lifeball is a mix of basketball and netball with short rings. Players are only allowed to walk (though that walking is pretty fast at times) It is designed for the older Aussie, and those that have limited ability to play team sports, but still love to do that. There is lots of laughter and good relationships built…. have a go!
