All you want for Christmas is Transperth

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all of us; oh what fun it is to ride on a ferry, train or bus.
For all your Christmas travel needs we can lend a hand; think ahead and just make sure your journey is well-planned.

There are lots of big decisions to make at Christmas time – Mariah Carey or Wham, turkey or prawns, Love Actually or Die Hard?

Luckily we’ve got one big decision to take off your plate, which is how to get around.

Transperth spokesman David Hynes said buses, trains and ferries were a fantastic way to get to the family barbecue or annual beach cricket tournament

“But it’s important to note that our services, while still running, change a little on Christmas Day and Boxing Day,” he said.

“Transperth doesn’t want a lot for Christmas. There’s just one thing we ask: before you travel on a bus, train or ferry, make sure you plan your journey – there and back.”

On December 25, trains and ferries will run at about a 30-minute frequency. Buses will run on the Sunday/public holiday timetable, and CAT buses will not operate.

On December 26, trains and buses will run on a public holiday timetable. The Perth and Fremantle CATs will operate but the Joondalup CAT will not. Ferry services will operate on a 30min frequency early in the morning, switching to a 15min frequency after 10am.
