Light the Night

Thousands of people are expected to gather at Perth’s Elizabeth Quay next month as the Leukaemia Foundation hosts its annual Light the Night.

Now in its 11th year, the Leukaemia Foundation’s Light the Night is an inspiring lantern ceremony and walk that brings together the blood cancer community in solidarity to support each other.

Families and friends will come together at sunset on Friday, 5th October to light up Australian skies with one of three coloured lanterns (gold, white and blue) relevant to their journey with blood cancer.

More than that, the event is an opportunity for the community to raise vital funds for breakthrough research in hopes of a future free of blood cancer.

In Australia, 35 people are diagnosed with a blood cancer such as leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma each and every day. A diagnosis can take place in anyone, of any age, at any time.
