Briefs Factory brings their new show Close Encounters to Perth and this interstellar show will wow you with acrobatics, burlesque, drag, comedy routines and aerial acts.
Everyone was ready for a night of entertainment, laughs and of course the boys at the sold-out show.

They begin the show with performers scattered throughout the audience before a quick onstage costume change before the wow factor begins.
Captain Shivannah warms up the audience and informs everyone of a few rules including the liquid inflight meals available from the bar. He also notes that he and the other performers are from the future and have travelled back to inform us that manners are a must along with human interaction.
Close Encounters has amazing aerial performances including one from an astronaut that strips to his underwear before showing off his grace and strength on a rope.
Another performer used a bird cage with his acrobatic act which silenced the audience as he showed off his strength and flexibility.
Louis Biggs’ scientist act involves juggling, bubbling chemicals and him taking off his clothes (that’s where the Briefs part comes in) all motivating the audience to cheer, clap and laugh.
My favourite part of the show was the final act which incorporates fireworks, acrobatics, comedy and all the boys on stage in their black briefs, it had the audience going wild.
I was slightly disappointed with Shivannah who used the same jokes from Club Briefs throughout the show. I didn’t find them as funny or as well delivered, he lacked a little of his previous charisma. I suppose that’s the problem when you see 20+ shows at Fringe…
