Have a Go News has partnered with Antarctica Flights for many years, giving readers the rare opportunity to witness the wonders of the icy continent from above. Each year, hundreds of passengers depart from Perth to take part in this extraordinary journey — a true bucket-list experience.

The next Perth departure is scheduled for Australia Day, 26 January 2027, and interest has already been strong, with many travellers securing their seats early. The Economy Explorer category has sold out, and around 10 seats remain in both Business Class sections.

Antarctica Flights charters a Qantas Dreamliner for the journey, operating one flight each season from Perth and seven flights across Australia during the Antarctic summer. The aircraft’s large windows — 65 per cent bigger than those on similar planes — offer spectacular views, and passengers are free to move around the cabin to capture the best photographs.

Remarkably, no Antarctica Flight has ever been cancelled due to weather. Qantas monitors 19 potential flight paths before each departure, adjusting the route to ensure the best possible conditions and views.

The 12-hour round trip departs Perth at 8am and returns around 8.30pm. Passengers enjoy a full Qantas international food service with two meals, drinks, and snacks, along with expert commentary from specialists who have lived and worked in Antarctica.

A $300 deposit is required at the time of booking, with full payment due eight weeks before departure.
