It’s big and it’s cheesy! Margaret River Dairy Company invites cheese lovers to join a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS official attempt for the world’s Largest cheese tasting event on Sunday 25 February.
The official record is measured by the number of people attending a cheese tasting event at a single location.
The minimum to beat for the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title is 250 people, and Thiago Bacellar, Margaret River Dairy Company Production Manager, said that they were aiming for a significantly higher number.
“For our GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title attempt, we need more than 250 people to join us at the Dairy to taste three cheeses. Everyone needs to be here at the same time for the tasting, each cheese will be explained and then we’ll all eat each cheese at the same time – there are very specific requirements but it’s going to be a lot of fun.
“We’ve selected three of our most popular cheeses for the tasting – Brie, Original Club Cheddar and Original Farmhouse.
“We’ll also have free entertainment after the official tasting and a gift for everyone who comes along to help us break the record – we’d love as many locals as possible to join us!” he said.
To help Margaret River Dairy Company set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for cheese tasting, you must register online before the day. Kids are welcome to participate but everyone must be happy to eat all three cheeses, otherwise they will not be counted.
The GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title attempt will start at 10am sharp and official activities will be completed by 11am. Participants are asked to arrive from 9.30am to be ready for the action. To register visit: www.cheesetasting.com.au. The event will be held at the Margaret River Dairy Company, 8063 Bussell Highway, Metricup.
