The Bickley Harvest Festival returns for its 24th year across the weekend of 6 and 7 May, celebrating the region’s finest wine, cider, spirits, produce, food, scenery, and attractions. This self-guided festival showcases the beauty and richness of the stunning Bickley Valley region, nestled in the Perth Hills just 35 minutes from Perth.

The Bickley Harvest Festival is an untapped treasure, taking place at 18 participating venues across Carmel, Bickley, and Pickering Brook. Locals and tourists can use the festival map to plan their trail across a diverse range of venues offering a variety of experiences, tours, workshops, tastings, menus and produce, including family-friendly locations.

Explore the local orchards and vineyards to see first-hand how the produce is grown and harvested. Indulge in delicious food from local food restaurants, and tastings from boutique owner-operated wineries, cider houses and distilleries with hand crafted beverages. Enjoy live music performances and discover the local artistic talent. Take home fresh local produce or treat yourself to a delicious lunch – all while enjoying the magnificent surroundings.

The Bickley Valley thrives in the cooler autumn sun presenting visitors with a myriad of colours throughout the vineyards, orchards, the abundant deciduous trees, and glorious gardens. With its rolling hills and lush greenery, the Bickley Valley offers breathtaking scenery that is sure to leave visitors in awe.

Festival highlights at three key venues include:

Core Cider House: Nestled in the heart of Pickering Brook’s picturesque countryside, Core Cider House has been a labour of love for 80 years. With sweeping 180-degree views of the lush orchards, this idyllic spot offers a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern sophistication. Renowned for its award-winning ciders, delicious cuisine, and lively atmosphere, Core Cider House is a must-visit destination.

Over the festival weekend, indulge in a two or three course set-menu lunch at the Orchard Bistro (bookings essential). Or, for a more relaxed experience, bring a picnic blanket and enjoy pizza and other casual eats, and cider on The Green while the little ones explore the nature playground.

Core Cider’s Apple Picking Orchard Tours are a delight for the entire family! The Apple Express will take you on a leisurely tractor ride through the orchard, where you can stop to pick and savour fresh apples while learning about the harvest and the destiny of Core’s fruit: their famous ciders! Book ahead to avoid disappointment.

Myattsfield Vineyards: Myattsfield Vineyards, home to award-winning wines that have been crowned the Best Value Wines of WA by esteemed wine critic Ray Jordan, is hosting an unmissable weekend fair. Step into a world of indulgence as you embark on a Myattsfield wine tasting adventure and explore the sprawling vineyards. Discover some of the hidden gems that Carmel Valley has to offer, including the Carmel Distillery, Jarrah Farm honey, local arts and crafts, and delicious food trucks offering mouth-watering gelato and ciders from the acclaimed Roleystone Brewing. Take your picnic rug and bask in the live sounds Coastal Drift on Saturday, and Matt Cal & the Eucalypts on Sunday.

The Packing Shed Distilling Co: This beautiful 10-acre property located in the heart of the Bickley Valley Nestled in the heart of the breathtaking Bickley Valley, is an essential stop on your festival trail.
