Vinnies opened their new Osborne Park shop last month which has so far received great community support. Located in Scarborough Beach Road the new premises is a large, bright space, stocking a big selection of goods and marks the return of Vinnies to the area after unfortunately having to leave more than three years ago.
Vinnies shops are pivotal in providing support to people who are doing it tough as funds from the sale of goods help support Vinnies services for the local community, but also helps provide emergency assistance to people who may experiencing hardship and need clothing and furniture.
The Osborne Park store is the third shop to open so far this year with other shops in Kalamunda and Mosman Park.
Operating 54 shops around the state would not be possible without the incredible and committed support from our retail volunteers who devote their time and skills each week, helping to change lives from the work they do.
Each shop requires many volunteers to run it, and Vinnies are looking for people who can commit to as little as four hours a week, even with no experience. It gives people the chance to give back to their local community and become an integral part of the organisation.
Their shops in Kenwick and Stirling have room for volunteers right now, but there are shops right throughout the metropolitan area and around the state to choose from for anyone who would like to put their skills to good use and meet some fantastic people.
