Seniors had the opportunity to raise important issues direct to Seniors and Ageing Minister Mick Murray today at two community forums.
“It is vital that we listen to our seniors and hear firsthand about any issues they face,” said Minister Murray.
The events enabled seniors from the north and south of Perth to discuss local matters impacting the ageing population with the McGowan Government.
Bicton MLA Lisa O’Malley, Joondalup MLA Emily Hamilton, Burns Beach MLA Mark Folkard and Wanneroo MLA Sabine Winton facilitated the forums.
“This Government is determined to ensure that all Western Australians can age well in communities where they are valued and respected,” said Minister Murray.
The forums took place at Currambine Community Centre and Kadidjiny Park Hall in Melville – with representatives from the Council on the Ageing also attending the Melville event.
