Thundering horsepower is coming to Perth’s riverfront when Langley Park hosts the Celebration of Motorsport on Sunday September 21, the grand finale of the four-day Lance East Exotics Tarmac West rally. The free event promises an extraordinary day for car lovers and families alike with 600 vehicles on display in Western Australia’s biggest motoring showcase.
The Celebration of Motorsport, the Celebration of Hot Rods & Street Machines, and across the road along Riverside Drive, the Shannons Classics on the Swan is a motoring festival with something for every car love, from the newest supercars to timeless classics.

Centre stage is the Lance East Exotics Collection, a curated display of automotive royalty featuring Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Maserati, Bugatti and Aston Martin, brands that epitomise performance, design and prestige.
The Celebration of Hot Rods & Street Machines will deliver a different kind of thrill, with gleaming chrome, candy-coloured paintwork and thumping V8 engines. See and hear them cruise down Langley Park to take car appreciation to a whole new level. Meanwhile, Shannons Classics on the Swan will bring together cars that stir nostalgia and showcase motoring’s rich heritage.
Adding a new dimension this year is the Ayani Car Collective Auto Picnic, which highlights BMW alongside a vibrant mix of supercars, customs and collector favourites. The Auto Picnic also hosts a major draw: the live raffle of a gold-wrapped Camaro ZL1 or $100,000 cash, taking place on the main stage at 3pm.
Complementing the motoring action is the Ellenbrook Community Collective’s Markets on Langley, where visitors can browse boutique stalls offering everything from jewellery to small-batch gin tastings.
It’s not just about cars. Families will find entertainment across the park with monster bus rides, helicopter flights, remote-control racing, club displays, food trucks and children’s activities.
While the festival atmosphere takes over Langley Park, the Tarmac West rally enters its final day of competition. Over four days, competitors will cover more than 1,100 kilometres, including 219 kilometres of timed stages. The Sunday finale is a fast and technical course around Langley Park, Riverside Drive and Terrace Road Car Park, concluding with podium celebrations and the traditional champagne spray.
Event Director Ross Tapper said the line-up is bigger than ever.
“This is the ultimate program for anyone who loves cars,” he said. “From the on-track action to the displays, markets and entertainment, it’s an incredible day out for Perth and totally free.”
With so much happening on and off the track, the Celebration of Motorsport is set to be a highlight for the motoring enthusiast.
