The WA Seniors Card Centre has opened this year’s Golden Lens photographic competition with members encouraged to get their cameras clicking and participate.
The competition follows on from the Seasons of Connection Golden Lens competition which ran across the 2024/25 festive season and saw entries come from seniors across the state.
This year the competition provides an opportunity for WA Seniors Card members to share photos which reflect the meaningful relationships and connections of daily life showcasing their photography skills.

It aims to promote ageing well by celebrating the skills of Western Australians through the art of photography and to demonstrate that people of any age can learn and create.
There are three categories for Senior’s card members to enter: Golden Landscapes (landscapes and wildlife of WA), Golden Moments (seniors embracing life) and Golden Portraits (meaningful moments of seniors). There will also be a People’s Choice category in which the public can vote via the WA Seniors Card Facebook page.
The winners will be invited to a lunch at Parliament House hosted by Aged Care and Seniors Minister Simone McGurk.
Selected photos will also be featured in the next edition of the WA Seniors Card Discount Directory, which will be published in the 2025-26 financial year.
Prizes have been donated by participating WA Seniors Card business partners for the winner and runner-up of each category.
The competition closes on November 30, 2025. Check out the Golden Lens competition webpage to find out more.
