Thousands of runners, walkers and families are expected to hit the streets this August as the Chevron City to Surf for genU returns to Perth, continuing its long-standing tradition as one of Western Australia’s most iconic community fun runs.
Taking place on Sunday August 30, 2026, the event invites participants of all ages and abilities to walk, run or roll in support of people living with disability. The much-loved event combines fitness, community spirit and fundraising, with proceeds staying right here in WA.
Participants can choose between 4km or 12km distances with both courses finishing at City Beach Oval, where participants will be welcomed with a lively Free Finish Line Carnival, featuring family-friendly entertainment, activities and community celebrations.
Beyond the race itself, the Chevron City to Surf for genU plays an important role in raising funds to make a life changing difference to West Australians living with disability. Each year, thousands of participants take part as individuals, families, workplace teams and community groups, collectively raising vital funds for the cause.
For those unable to attend in person, the event also offers a Virtual City to Surf, allowing supporters to participate from anywhere. The virtual event will run between August 24 and September 6, giving participants the flexibility to complete their chosen distance in their own time and location while still contributing to the fundraising effort.
Whether taking part along Perth’s iconic city-to-coast course or joining virtually from another location, the event continues to unite communities through a shared goal of movement, inclusion and impact.
With registrations now open head to Perthcitytosurf.com. Organisers are encouraging Western Australians to lace up their shoes, gather their friends and colleagues, and take part in an event that celebrates both community and purpose.
