One of WA’s leading community-based organisations, Community Vision hosted a sit-down three-course dinner at their Woodvale Social Centre recently themed as An Evening to Remember, to celebrate and welcome members of their community back, post COVID-19 closures.
More than 50 people attended the successful evening, which gave attendees an enjoyable night out within a secure and calm environment, surrounded with other families of similar circumstances within the community.
There was a variety of entertainment from live music to nostalgic soundtracks, as guests savoured a winter menu delivered by the Community Vision on site chef.
The Western Australian Charity Orchestra (WACO), who aims to change lives through music, donated their time, purposefully playing nostalgic classical music.
Community Vision Chief Operating Officer Yvonne Timson said, “It was wonderful to see the community connect with each other and to see everyone get dolled up for a special night. For many, this was a rare treat and we hope it was a special evening to remember.”
All profits from ticket sales at the event go towards Community Visions Dementia specific therapy such as Virtual Reality, the Community Bus and their Sensory rooms.
