Get a taste for your city with Eat Drink Perth

With eight categories to explore and more events than ever, it’s never been easier to get a taste for your city this March.

Featuring more than 100 participating venues citywide, discover the freshest eateries and sink your teeth into the latest culinary trends during Eat Drink Perth.

Hailing from Indonesia to Italy and everywhere in between, the venues incorporate deep histories, passionate restaurateurs and family-run establishments just waiting to show you their mouth-watering fares.

These city venues have worked hard to put together exotic creations, long table degustations, wine tasting sundowners, foodie walking tours and roulette challenges to have you coming back for more.

Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi said March was a time for the city to flourish, especially in the food and drink scene.

“Perth is alive with events and activities at this time of year and Eat Drink Perth is no exception,” Ms Scaffidi said.

“This annual festival is a celebration of Perth’s vibrancy, offering a slice of the latest hotspots and trends to refresh your palate.”

To complement the hard work of city food and beverage venues, the City of Perth has put together a calendar of exciting events and activations with the help of entities such as the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority, Activate Perth, 140 William, ENEX, West Perth Local and Cathedral Square.

With plenty on offer, visitors and city workers alike can explore lunchtime markets at Cathedral Square, family fun days and musical performances in the parks and laneways of East and West Perth. Visitors are also encouraged to make use of picnic tables scattered across the city.

There will be Instagram-worthy installations appearing in various locations, while the Northbridge Piazza will screen foodie flicks every Wednesday at 8.30pm and every Saturday at 5.30pm.

The Twilight Hawkers Markets will also dish up global cuisine every Friday while Perth Home Grown markets will be a go-to every Sunday for fresh produce.

Eat Drink Perth 2018 will kick off with a special community event on Saturday 3 March featuring an exciting cooking demonstration by mother and son duo, Anna and Jordan Bruno, in the Northbridge Piazza.
