Western Australia’s much-loved Bickley Harvest Festival returns this year with its most ambitious program to date, celebrating 26 years of showcasing the wine, cider, spirits, food and produce of the Bickley Valley.
The festival opens on Saturday May 2 and Sunday May 3 launching a month-long celebration across 28 venues in the Bickley, Carmel and Pickering Brook valleys, just 35 minutes east of Perth.
Visitors can explore award-winning wineries, artisan distilleries, open art studios, family-friendly attractions and guided tours, all set against the backdrop of the Perth Hills’ golden autumn landscape. A free hop-on hop-off shuttle will connect key venues during the opening weekend.
Three new additions join the 2026 lineup. Best Pressed Raw, a family-run cold-pressed juice business in Carmel, will host a lively Best Pressed Fiesta featuring tastings, live music and kids’ activities. Chalet Rigi, one of the valley’s most anticipated venues, will offer a pop-up preview ahead of its official reopening. The Kalamunda Farmers Markets will also join the program, offering guided harvest tours as an ideal starting point for a day in the valley.
The festival will close on a high note with Harvest Symphony with WASO on May 30 — an intimate evening of folk and classical music performed by the West Australian Symphony Orchestra at Chalet Rigi, overlooking sweeping valley views.

Among the wineries, Hainault @ Carmel begins a new chapter under fresh ownership, with a focus on local produce and seasonal flavours. Highlights include Harvest @ Hainault on May 2 and a seven-course degustation dinner on May 9.
At Plume Estate Vineyard, visitors can enjoy panoramic views and taste innovative wines such as the new Dreamers Domain Shiraz. The vineyard is home to Australia’s first commercial vitivoltaic array, where vines grow beneath solar panels that generate clean energy and protect fruit from heat. Owner Marcus Geisler OAM said the system reflects the valley’s spirit of innovation. “It feels good knowing that every glass of wine here is connected to a smarter, more sustainable way of farming,” he said.

MyattsField Vineyards will host a Wine and Art Trail and live music from Coastal Drift over the opening weekend. Winemaker Rachael Davenport said the 2026 harvest was shaping up to be “one for the history books,” with near-perfect growing conditions. The vineyard will open its private cellar for a special museum sale throughout May.
La Fattoria Perth Hills will offer Italian-inspired experiences including Nonna’s Family Table, a five-course long lunch, and Pick-A-Platter antipasto tastings. Tonon Vineyard & Winery, home of the 2023 Perth Royal Wine Awards Best Wine of Show, will run intimate tastings of its hand-harvested Prosecco, Fiano, Sangiovese, Tempranillo and Malbec.
Brookside Vineyard returns with woodfired pizza, live music and wine tastings, while Kenbrook Orchard and Shiraz will offer tastings of their award-winning Shiraz and seasonal fruit. Newcomer Djida Mia Vineyard will open its doors for free tastings and takeaway sales from May 2.
Cider and spirits lovers will find plenty to enjoy. Carmel Distillery will release its popular Nocino green walnut liqueur, while HHH Spirits will host guided tastings and tours of its handcrafted copper stills. Core Cider House will present a month of family-friendly events, including Dinner at Dusk on May 1 and A Taste of the Orchard on May 2 and 3. Carmel Cider Co will host The Harvest Gathering on May 2, and Hogg Culture Brewing Co will preview its new venue, The Hogg House, with craft beers and casual dining.
Beyond food and drink, the festival celebrates art, culture and heritage. Local artists will open their studios throughout May, including Petra’s Pottery, New Leaf Gallery, and Flying Duck Studio. The Pickering Brook Heritage Park Open Day on May 4 will offer a glimpse into the region’s early settler and Indigenous history.
The Perth Observatory will host astronomy tours, art workshops and astrophotography sessions, while Up Close & Local Tours will run guided wine, gin and cider experiences departing from Perth.
Chalet Rigi will also host The Rigi Warm-Up Weekend on May 2 and 3, featuring live music, fireside dining and panoramic views.
With its blend of fine wine, local produce, art and music, the 2026 Bickley Harvest Festival promises a month of discovery and celebration in the Perth Hills.
