Two great events happening on the Rockingham foreshore…

The City of Rockingham is hosting two major events – a special Foreshore Celebration to celebrate the recently revitalised foreshore precinct and The Castaways Sculpture Awards.

Foreshore Celebration

Rediscover Rockingham on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 October as the City of Rockingham hosts a special Foreshore Celebration.

The event will be held to celebrate the recent revitalisation of the Rockingham Foreshore precinct and will feature street performers, aerial acts, a variety of interactive workshops, mermaids, ponies, camels, silent disco, drumming circle, trishaw rides for seniors, a community lantern parade plus much more.

Visitors to the Foreshore Celebration will also be able to visit the City’s premier arts and culture event Castaways, which is being held simultaneously at the beach.

Castaways Sculpture Awards

The City of Rockingham’s Castaways Sculpture Awards Exhibition is back bigger than ever in 2019, taking place from Saturday 26 October to Sunday 3 November.

The premier arts and culture event in the City showcases a range of stunning artworks that have been created from recycled and repurposed materials.

Works will be on display in three locations and include the main exhibition on the beach, the Schools Exhibition at Churchill Park and the first ever Maquette and Small Sculpture Exhibition at the Rockingham Arts Centre on Kent Street.

The first two days of Castaways coincide with a special Foreshore Celebration the City is hosting to celebrate the recently revitalised foreshore precinct, so make sure to come down and Rediscover Rockingham and learn why it is known as the place where the coast comes to life.
