Perth’s antique royalty, Lauder and Howard has closed its doors and a wide array of its exquisite collection will be auctioned by renowned Perth auctioneers, McKenzies at Lauder and Howard’s premises on 21st November.
The closure marks the end of an era for L&H, and a beginning of a new one as they move to Tasmania, which has carved a reputation as the home of Australia’s finest antiques.
Established in 1979, Lauder and Howard have an esteemed international reputation in high quality antique furniture, porcelain, glass, silver and works of art at their showrooms situated in Fremantle.
L&H’s principals, Les Lauder and Mark Howard, are experienced and passionate antique dealers who are committed to the highest standards of antique presentation, quality and integrity.
It is only fitting then that the task of finding homes for the remainder of their beautiful collection will go to McKenzies Auctioneers.

Up for grabs is an exceptional Louis XVth painted armoire, with two panels signed by J Godon 1883 expected to fetch $18,000 – $24,000, a Louis XIVth period kingwood serpentine commode c1710 expected to fetch $8000 – $12,000 and “The Huntsman’ oil painting on repoussee copper, dated 1899 by J Georges with an auction estimate of $17,000- $$22,000.
