Wild beauty and unique stories for WA Ballet’s 2025 season

The 2025 season for WA Ballet sees guest director David McAllister AC continue his role as artistic director while undergoing a strategic review. This allows it time to find a replacement director who is able to structure the 75th anniversary in 2027.

“I am so delighted to be given this opportunity to continue my time with West Australian Ballet. It is a privilege to work with this talented and much loved organisation and aid the transition to a new artistic leader,” said McCallister.

At the launch of the 2025 season he also remarked it was fitting to be with WA Ballet as his career comes to an end because this was where it all began for this acclaimed Western Australian dancer, director and ballet aficionado.

Mcallister said that Season 2025 embodies the spirit of Western Australia, showcasing its wild beauty and unique stories and he is thrilled to present this extraordinary program to audiences.
