Three acclaimed artists, Sabrina Dowling-Giudici, Kiara Rechici-Baker and Zabou are set to make waves at Linton and Kay in Subiaco with their upcoming collaborative exhibition, Venice Reflections.
The exhibition which runs from October 22- November 16 explores the three artists’ unique experiences in the Venetian city, and how they have reflected on them through their art.
Italian-Australian glass artist, Sabrina Dowling; who recently exhibited at The Venice Glass Week in Italy this September, will present a collection of glass artworks, interpreting marine elements of the lagoon’s ecology.
Through her distinctive art-science inspired visual language, Sabrina highlights the prestigious Venetian glass art form but dynamically shifts from their hot-glass techniques to a more Australian warm-glass craft methodology.

French jewellery artist and fellow The Venice Glass Week exhibitor, Zabou, will present her thematic jewellery collections that explores the luxuriously rich history of the Venice trade routes and their cultural impacts, While Italian-Australian artist, Kiara Rechichi-Baker who held a residency at The Venice Printmaking Studio; reflects on her memories of the Venetian lagoon through her multi-disciplinary artworks, seeing the lagoon as a feminine being, alive with colour, complex and immensely beautiful.
“I’m incredibly excited to be collaborating with both Kiara and Zabou on Venice Reflections,” says Sabrina Dowling Giudici. “Zabou and I met at The Venice Glass Week in 2024, which was an exceptional experience for me as it was my first international exhibition. It’s wonderful to reunite with Zabou here in my home state of Western Australia, and to have the privilege of collaborating with talented West Australian artist, Kiara.”
“One of the many things that makes this exhibition so special is that we are all paying homage to Venice in different ways yet bringing our artworks together cohesively. My reflections focus predominately on the seagrass and other marine elements of the Venetian lagoon, Zabou’s jewellery collections are inspired by Venice’s rich and eclectic history of the trade routes, while Kiara takes inspiration from the Laguna Veneta. We all see and celebrate Venice through different lenses.”
Venice Reflections is running from Subiaco’s Linton & Kay Gallery from October 22 – November 16.
