School Holiday adventures await at the 2022 AWESOME Festival!

There is something for everyone at this year’s AWESOME Arts Festival. Whether you’re young or young at heart.

Bright Young Things and their grown-ups can choose from theatre, creative workshops, literature events, music, ballet, exhibitions and a whole range of free activities!

Curious kids looking or the answers for life’s biggest questions will love Creation Creation – A daring and audacious journey to the very edge of the universe and back again. Watch as blankets become forts, cardboard boxes become battleships and ping pong balls become planets in this hilarious attempt to answer life’s biggest questions.

Join little Llama and mischievous Kookaburra in the world premiere of a brand new children’s ballet The Lost Little Llama. This free ballet will be performed twice daily in the Perth Cultural Centre in partnership with WAAPA and Perth Symphony Orchestra.

ARIA Award Winning Children’s Artist Teeny Tiny Stevies are headed to the 2022 AWESOME Festival on their most comprehensive National Album Tour to date! Little ones and grown-ups alike will enjoy hearing a mix of fan favourites and material from their new album How to be Creative.

AWESOME’s famous free activities have received a makeover this year, with the launch of 7 new creative hubs, all hosted and led by West Australian artists. Festival goers can take part in engaging activities and learn new skills from professional artists, all for free!

Little book lovers will love getting to meet some of their favourite authors in person, with literature events for all ages! Join James Foley, Helen Milroy and Paula Hayes among other West Australian favourites for a journey into your favourite children’s books.
