This year marks a quarter century of Applecross Rotary’s annual Jacaranda Festival, from humble beginnings at Heathcote reserve, it was moved to its current village retail setting, under the jacarandas, in Ardross Street, Applecross in 2002 and is now recognised as one of Perth’s foremost street festivals.
The festival has continued to evolve, attracting family based crowds of 12 – 15,000 to enjoy the wonderful activities of the day, and this year, the 25th, will indeed be a special celebration. So many volunteer groups assist on the day, joining in the fun and helping to fly the Rotary Community Service flag loud and strong.
New this year, on an expanded event site will be a new kids activities zone, a fresh line up of entertainers and street theatre, a special ‘busker central’ feature, new food offers and a Vintage Fire Truck offering rides around the streets adorned with full on flowering jacarandas!
More than 150 artisan quality street stalls, covered eating and rest zones along with the non stop entertainment in the main marquee and the regular kids features help make this day so really special.

Applecross Rotary is grateful for the main event sponsors, Lotterywest and The City of Melville who have supported the festival for more than 20 years, and club sponsors The Good Grocer, Mont Property, Pharmacy777 and Ross North Homes for standing with Rotary for the past 10 years.
There is Public transport to nearby Canning Highway and plenty of offsite parking with a free shuttle to and from the event, and lots of signage directing foot and vehicle traffic
While this is a free community event, Rotary Applecross welcome donations on entry in support of the many, mainly local needy causes and groups that they support.
