THIS month Dan and I visited the newly opened Fresch Restaurant located in Como at the Broadwater Resort.
Fresch has had a major refit, seating is indoors or alfresco and offers diners modern décor with a blue theme throughout, with views of the Swan River.
From the moment we arrived the service was friendly and helpful with water and menus being brought to our table and of course table service throughout, which I enjoy the most when brunching.
To begin with I ordered a Fresch Greens smoothie ($8) which is a refreshing blend of spinach, pineapple, kiwi fruit, coconut water, lime and mint.
Dan ordered a flat white ($4) which was smooth and creamy and not watery at all.
I couldn’t go past the house cured beetroot salmon, slow cooked eggs and hollandaise ($22) but I replaced the slow cooked eggs with scrambled.
The salmon is one of their signature dishes and is delicious and melts in your mouth. Add in the creamy homemade hollandaise and light fluffy scrambled eggs, even writing about the dish has my mouth watering.
Dan ordered the Fresch pancakes, caramelised bananas, fig honey and lemon myrtle ($18). The pancakes were really light and fluffy, and the fruity fresh flavours of fig, lemon, banana, yoghurt and berries added a refreshing sweet taste.
Dan and I also added tater tots ($5) to our meal (because we love crunchy dishes) which were salty, crispy and delicious and were the perfect side dish.
Not only does Fresch have amazing food they also have generous portion sizes and pretty presentation which we love, as it adds further to the value for money.
While there we checked out their lunch and dinner menus as we heard that head chef Marc Eskdale has worked throughout Australia, New Zealand and Europe and has an excellent reputation for quality food. The breakfast offerings certainly reflected this, and we are keen to go back to try their other menus.
Overall, we give Fresch 4 spoons for their warm and hospitable service, value for money and delicious food.
