Tim Dawe

Tim Dawe’s career in journalism commenced in late 1965 with an application to The West Australian newspaper for a cadetship. It ceased a month later. With the unstated promise to, “consider your cadetship next year”, he promptly declined employment as a proof reader. In late 2005 after wide-ranging roles in management and the completion of a postgraduate diploma in journalism, he was offered a position as a journalist on The Geraldton Guardian. Regrettably, for family reasons, he declined. Tim combined his keen interest in writing with travel and photography to become an independent travel writer. He has written for newspapers and magazines in Australia and internationally.
