At 61, John Waters will return to the stage at the Playhouse Theatre in Perth during March and April to star in The Swimming Club. Written by Hanie Rayson and with echoes of the movie The Big Chill, the play is about a group of 50-something friends who meet in Greece as uni students and are now accessing life at middle age, successes and regrets in tact.
