Entertainment extravaganza

As we head into summer, Perth is set to sizzle – this month we feature a line-up of some fabulous entertainment to enjoy.

On Sunday 19 December the Astor Theatre will celebrate the ‘Twas the Week Before Christmas with a star-studded line-up. 

It features Chris Murphy from Australian Idol, Paula Clay (AVIIDA), Bloom (national touring artist), Karen
Carpenter Show’s
Narelle Belle, The Australian Girls Choir along with a 30-piece band. 

Hear all your favourites including Silent Night, We Wish You A Merry Christmas, Jingle Bells, Joy To
The World
, Jingle Bells and many more.

Plus there’ll be some toe tapping hits from Aretha, Adele, Karen Carpenter, Stevie Wonder and more.

Part proceeds from the show go to the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Born in Ethiopia and raised in Perth, comedian Joe White has always tried to find the upside to life and this is his inspiration for pursuing comedy. Experiencing many hardships has taught him the value of laughter and his passion is to make others laugh too. 

White has a unique ability to make his life funny, incorporating his childhood and family, particularly his love for his mother and five siblings, into his routine. There’s a little dancing, a lot of audience inclusion and his unique way of looking at life ensuring that every performance has loads of laughs.  

Joe has won a host of awards including Best Comedy Award for three years in a row at Fringe. His Ethiopian and Still Not Hungry – The Finale returns again in 2022.

This show runs at the Pleasure Garden from 1 to 6 and 8 to 13 February.
