Oklahoma!

Oklahoma was the first collaboration between Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein and is regarded as the first of the modern musicals. Perth audiences will be treated to this fabulous production at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre from 11 to 13 March and then at His Majesty’s Theatre in Perth from 17 – 20 March.
The show will be presented ‘in concert’ mode from the newly formed IAJ Production Company which is Perth based.

The Bachelors resurgence tour

With a string of hits from the 1960s, this Irish band reformed in the ‘90s and have been delighting audiences ever since with hits like Diane and I Believe. WA audiences will again be treated to this dynamic band during late March and early April, check out page 45 and 46 for tour dates and the opportunity to win a CD.

Elgar
A Single Man
Starring Colin Firth this movie is set in Los Angeles in 1962 at the height of the Cuban missile crises. Firth plays a 52-year-old British college professor who is struggling to find meaning to his life after the death of his long time partner Jim (Mathew Goode).
Season starts 25 February and is rated M.

Local author Hetty Verolme has written an account of being a holocaust survivor. Originally released in 2000 Hetty has re-released the book through Fremantle Press and provides a school edition with class notes as well as an adult version. See page 45 for further details.
