Hello everyone,

How exciting is this? We have secured seats for performances of both The Phantom of the Opera and Cirque du Soleil by taking advantage of the group booking discounts which ensures we can buy seats at a much cheaper cost.
But, the seats available are limited so you must send in your booking form ASAP.

As well, a lucky reader at the Christmas lunch at the Burswood Atrium will be in the draw to win two tickets to Cirque du Soleil's Dralion; so be sure to attend our annual Christmas "bash" to be eligible.

I was delighted to have attended the WASO launch for 2009.
The principal conductor and artistic adviser, Paul Daniel, who hosted the launch introduced excerpts from WASO's 2009 collection.

I will be selecting from WASO's 'menu' in the next couple of weeks, so look out for details as we head into the New Year.
We will be continuing these wonderful morning concerts followed by lunch in 2009 and also look forward to seeing some of the visiting artists who will be playing with WASO such as James Morrison and Roberta Flack.
The final programme will appear in my monthly calendar very soon.

To our Annual Christmas Tour shoppers; the booking form for this outing appears on page 12 with details of the general itinerary for the day.
It will introduce you to the new Dolphin Quay shopping complex in Mandurah with its delightful market place surrounded by various interesting shops.
Don't forget to wear your comfy shoes.  There is a bit of a walk to the complex, but it is only from Cicerello's to the Quay and back to the shuttle bus for your return journey to the Mandurah train station.
For any queries call Tammy here at Have a Go News.  She is your host for the Christmas Shopping Tour.
Happy shopping!

Lets do Lunch
Please make a note that we will not be having a lunch in October as we will all be busy getting ready for your Have a Go Day at the Burswood on 29 October 2008.
Do come along to this wonderful 'day' at Burswood Park.  You can catch up with us to have a cup of tea or coffee with our compliments at one of our hospitality tents.

Christmas Luncheon at "The Atrium" at the Burswood Entertainment Complex is now confirmed and we are delighted to advise that we are receiving special treatment by being picked up by the Burswood Bus at the Bus Station in Wellington Street and taken to lunch.  Our door prize is a special overnighter at the Holiday Inn which is part of the Burswood Complex.  The first prize winner of our raffle will receive two tickets to Cirque du Soleil's Dralion valued at $140.  They will join our group of readers who will be attending the matinee on the 6 February 2009. So, you know where to be on the 27 November this year - our Christmas party at the Burswood Atrium. We look forward to seeing you there so book early for this one.  Also, we request that you again, bring a child's toy up to the value of $10.
The cost is a very reasonable $35 which includes complimentary soft drinks courtesy of The Atrium.

"Expressions of Interest"
WASO - Morning Symphony Series
Jian Wang - cellist,  is appearing with the WA Symphony Orchestra conducted by Arvo Volmer on 13 November at the Perth Concert Hall. He will be playing Haydn Cello Concerto No 2 and Sibelius Symphony No 7. As usual we will be including lunch with our tickets so be quick as we have limited seats available.  The booking form is in this edition, page 12. Cost is only $34.

Cirque du Soleil - "Dralion"
We are thrilled to have secured a limited amount of seats for this delightful show, as they all are.  We are getting in early. The booking form is in this issue although the show begins at the end of January. Tickets will be available until 1 December to enable us to purchase the seats well in advance. The matinee we have booked is on the 6 February 2009 at 4pm under the Grand Chapiteau at Langley Park. Cost is $73. See the booking form in this edition, page 12.

Phantom of the Opera
This wonderful show is coming to town in March. We have booked seats for the 11 March at 1pm at the Burswood.  This is a classic show that you can see again and again and with the talented Anthony Warlow as the Phantom it is one not to be missed. Once again as there are limited seats send in your booking form, to be found in this edition, with payment ASAP. Cost is $84.

Well, planning for all those events will "keep you on your toes" for the time being.

I have organised a few more events to take us into April so keep watching the calendar on this page.  Don't forget that if you have any ideas for outings, do let me know.

However, please be aware that I may change some of the dates early in the year depending on availability of venues.

Happy reading and see you "here and there"

Anne
