Established since July 1991 Have a Go News has been published as a lifestyle and information
newspaper specifically for the over 45 demographic in Western Australia.
Wholly owned and operated by Western Australians, Have a Go News is the longest running
Western Australian newspaper targeting this demographic.
Mission
To keep the connection of the over 45s to their community.
What’s inside
Each month, Have a Go News features interesting stories and regular features.
In the last 12 months we have featured exclusive interviews with Leo Sayer, Tina Arena and James
Blundell.
Regular features include: Let’s go Travelling, Healthy Living, Food and Wine, Motoring, Money News,
Club News (sport and recreation for the over 45s), Arts and Entertainment and a selection of columns
from contributors on a monthly basis.
The Let’s go Travelling section is the most comprehensive of its genre and is specifi cally dedicated to
the needs of the mature Western Australian traveller.
Have a Go News Activities
The paper has it’s own activities co-ordinator who runs events each month which include the very popular
Let’s do Lunch outing with visits to a variety of restaurants around town. Other activities include concerts
and day tours.
Group sizes vary from 15 to 100.
Competitions
Each month Have a Go News has a myriad of competitions for its readers.
In the last 12 months we have offered readers the opportunity to win:
A trip to Malaysia for 2 people in conjunction with Tourism Malaysia,
Tickets to films and major shows,
Various products including DVDs and books.
