A View from the Box Seat

Known as Red October since the Russian revolution in 1917, this month celebrates a slew of Independence Days from Greece to Turkmenistan, Nigeria to St Vincent and the Grenadines, Cyprus to Croatia. But all of this pales into significance when an event in mid-October sees seven of the Australia's loveliest leading ladies take to the stage at the Perth Concert Hall in a concert of classics from A Chorus Line, Cabaret, Miss Saigon, Oliver, Mamma Mia!

A 'who's who' of musical theatre, the 'leading ladies" are Rachael Beck, Rhonda Burchmore, Judi Connelli, Nancye Hayes, Sharon Millerchip, and Anne Wood. Collectively they have performed in all the leading musicals in Australia for the last three decades. It's rare line up of the best talent this country has to offer and a show not to be missed.
