About Have a Go News

The paper, established in July 1991 by Concept Media, has published more than 198 issues with around 8.5 million copies printed.

It is one of the last independently owned and operated newspapers in Western Australia.

Each month Have a Go News publishes general news stories and regular features.

Some of the features included are : Let’s go Travelling, Healthy Living, Club News, Money News, Arts and Entertainment and Motoring Made Easy.

We have just introduced a new section called Food and Wine which focuses on local wines and fresh produce.

The paper lists many and varied community activities each month which include Barbara’s Billboard – a monthly diary of activities and events held throughout the metropolitan area and around the state, and Club Contacts – a listing of clubs, groups and associations also found state-wide, with areas of interest to the over 45 demographic ranging from dancing and camera clubs to canoeing and snooker.

There are also listings of community theatre events and a free ‘Friend to Friend’ service for people looking for companions.

There are regular features run throughout the year which include Classes and Courses, Grand Activities, Step Back in Time Museum feature, Caravan and Camping and many other features of interest.

The paper runs quality competitions and giveaways each month which include prizes and free tickets to many events and entertainment held throughout the year.

Have a Go News is a popular community paper full of information and interesting reading for anyone aged 45 and over.
