Front Cover - August 2010   Jerry Hall in Perth for The Graduate

Jerry Hall (Mrs Robinson) and Rider Strong (Benjamin)

The iconic comedy, The Graduate, which was staged on both the West End and in the US is coming to Perth and will run at His Majesty’s Theatre from 26 August to 12 September.

Many readers will remember the Oscar winning, groundbreaking film version of The Graduate from the 60s in which Anne Bancroft starred as Mrs Robinson with the then unknown Dustin Hoffman in the role of Benjamin.

The show also features the music of The Beach Boys and of course Simon and Garfunkel’s Mrs Robinson.

Jerry Hall, who played the role of Mrs Robinson in both the West End and US stage versions of The Graduate, said Mrs Robinson is a great role in a wonderful and very funny play …and it is also a love story.

Asked about the famous seduction scene, this delightful and very entertaining lady laughingly commented that Rider Strong, as Benjamin, plays his role in that scene with ‘poise and presence’. This is a Perth theatre event not to be missed and you can book now by calling the box office on 9484 1133 or 1800 193 300 or online at www.bocsticketing.com.au.

Group bookings can be made by calling 9321 6831 or Fax 9486 1722.
